This course introduces students to NYC's urban agricultural landscape, exploring the challenges of food security, social equity, and environmental sustainability. Through lectures and hands-on learning, students will examine the ecological, economic, and cultural aspects of urban food systems, with a focus on soil health, sustainable farming, and climate change. Field trips to NYC urban farms are included.
