SSH 153 — History of US & World Affairs
This course examines US foreign policy and international relations from thecountry's founding to the present. It will trace the United States' growth from asmall Atlantic republic to a vast empire spanning the continent and the world. It will analyze economic, intellectual and political contests over and consequences of US foreign policy; examine the methods used to extend the nation's borders, commerce and influence; and explore the effects of global engagements on the nation's values and institutions.CUNY Pathways: Flexible Core-World Cultures & Global Issues
