SSH 231 — African American History
An introduction to the African American struggle against slavery and the racist oppression of the United States. Special attention is given to the ways African Americans have claimed agency over their lives and reshaped American society through the following: activism and political organizing; family and kinshipformations; and cultural practices and institution building.
