This Level 1 course is designed for people who need survival skills in the U.S. The course includes conversation, as well as basic grammar and vocabulary. Students take part in conversations in English, thereby learning to use grammar rules correctly. Reading and writing basic English such as simple present tense, nouns, and verbs are stressed. A civics/citizenship component may be incorporated in curriculum.
