This Career Pathways class will offer computer assisted instruction in basic skills development lessons. Students will improve their reading, writing, language, and/or math skills while using and learning technology. Elective offerings will include keyboarding, MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), email (using gmail), the internet, and windows. Students will use the computer to create documents (such as fliers with text, word art, clip art, special formatting), set up spreadsheets (using math functions and computations), and do internet based research. For each 15 hour session one topic will be highlighted. For example, there will be one 15 hour session that focuses on Word, another 15 hour session that focuses on Excel, etc.
