BAS815 — Social Studies/Civics Instruct
This Career Pathways class will offer students exposure to content in the topic of social studies, civics, and citizenship preparation. Various modules will be offered in subsequent sessions of this program. While students are gaining this content, they should also be practicing their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Modules will include the 100 civics interview questions, topics in history, government, community resources, and navigating the community. Speakers from local government, immigration agencies, and community organizations will be invited to speak to the class. Students may visit destinations like the public library, the Liberty Bell Shrine, the LCHS Lehigh County Museum, and the LV CareerLink.
