CAR411 — Human&SocServices Aide Diploma
This short-term job training program will allow students to gain introductory knowledge of the human and social services profession. The course emphasizes principles of human services and the delivery of services to the community. The student will become familiar with computer applications, case management, listening skills, advocacy, professional roles, ethics, confidentiality, problem solving and communication skills, as well as resume writing and interview techniques. Shadowing/internships will be explored in various agencies that offer employment in the field. Graduates will qualify for entry-level positions as direct-care workers, mental health assistants, and aging associates. Upon successful completion of this program, you may be eligible to receive three college credits in the Human Services A.A.S. degree program. GED or high school diploma required.
