CAR515 — Who Are We? Redefining America
This is an online class which is offered monthly. Diversity has become an important concept and a goal for schools and teachers. While plenty of material is available on how to adapt to classroom diversity, this immersion workshop helps teachers to understand when and why America changed from a nation with strict limits on immigration to one embracing diversity. The goal of this workshop is to add a historical and social dimension to the diversity debate. Weekends are included to provide time to complete assignments and quizzes. Submissions are required by 11 p.m. on Sunday.
