CAR516 — Substance Abuse
This is an online class which is offered monthly. Substance abusers comprise many student populations, and teachers must learn to cope with these special needs students. This course offers teachers valuable insights and tested strategies for overcoming and minimizing the disruptive impact on their classes, while providing ways to help affected students. Four movies will be used as a "gateway" to understanding alcohol and drug abuse. Weekends are included to provide time to complete assignments and quizzes. Submissions are required by 11 p.m. on Sunday.
