CAR517 — Rethinking Globalization
This is an online class which is offered monthly. After World War II, America reversed course, abandoning a long history of isolation from the world. Today, America is a global power leading an increasingly interdependent world. This workshop prepares educators to bring global issues (such as human rights) into the classroom and to help prepare students to understand when and why America became a global power. This seminar will also analyze the countervailing forces resisting American power and influence following the shocking terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Weekends are included to provide time to complete assignments and quizzes. Assignments due by 11PM Sunday. Note: This class is a 2 week program. This course is not eligible for PA DOE Act 48 Professional Education credit. After registering for this course with Lehigh Carbon Community College, PLEASE CONTACT Dr. Shienbaum at [email protected] with your start date and visit http://adultedcenter.homestead.com/newlehighcarbon.html to access classroom.
