CAR520 — How the Brain Works

1.5 credits · 1.5 hours

This class is online and is offered monthly. The brain is the last frontier of medical science and its mysteries are still unfolding. This workshop helps educators understand how their own brains work (are they, for example, visual learners?); apply that information to their students; and recognize why some students have difficulty learning or have special needs. It provides valuable information about the care and feeding of the brain. Weekends are included to provide time to complete assignments and quizzes. Submissions are required by 11 p.m. on Sunday. Note: This class is a two week program. This course is not eligible for PA DOE Act 48 Professional Education credit. After registering for this course with Lehigh Carbon Community College, PLEASE CONTACT Dr. Shienbaum at [email protected] with your start date and visit http://adultedcenter.homestead.com/newlehighcarbon.html to access classroom.
