This seminar will target high school and college faculty. It is clear that business of the future will be based on dynamic, merit-based, technology-mediated, global networks that enable people and companies with ideas to find needed partners across the globe and bring their ideas to fruition. This seminar will help focus on finding ways for teachers to help all students acquire the innovation skills needed by everyone to thrive in a knowledge-based economy. The seminar will explore new methods, resources, and institutional models to help young people learn to adapt to unpredictable change, engage ambigous situations, understand themselves and pursue their passions, build teams to help realize their goals, seek and value diversity, take reasonable risks and learn from failure, communicate with and influence others, and understand when and how to improve something and when and how to make new rules. Methods and resources needed to create global learning laboratories will be introduced.
