CAR607 — Reading Apprenticeship WS
Through RA training, you will learn the reading apprenticeship approach to help you develop strategic readers within your subject area classroom. You will learn how to embed RA strategies within your curriculum by modeling metacognitive strategies, scaffolding, and providing learning activities that foster a problem solving approach to text book reading. You will discover many new teaching strategies designed to improve student reading comprehension skills, such as Reciprocal Teaching, Question Answer Relationship (QAR), Reading Logs andList/Inquire/Note Know (Link).
