COM710 — Support Users & App-Windows XP
(This hybrid class is offered as a combination of classroom and online)Prerequisite: Network Aministrator certification or equivalent experienceThrough lectures, discussions, scenarios, demonstrations, and classroom labs, the student is presented with the skills and knowledge necessary to troubleshoot basic problems end users will face while running Microsoft Windows XP Professional in an Active Directory Network Enviroment or Windows XP Home Edition in a workgroup enviroment. Students will also learn to troubleshoot basic problems end users face related to configuring and maintaining applications, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook Express, and Internet Explorer. This course is designed to provide an overview of operating system concepts and how to troubleshoot Windows XP and applications running on Windows XP. This course will provide a firm foundation for anyone wishing to take the Microsoft 70-271 and 70-272 exams (MCDST) as well as anyone who needs to support Windows XP users and applications.
