COM879 — Java 2 Progamming Intermed

2.4 credits · 24 hours

Prerequisite: Windows, Reliable Internet Service, Current Web Browser, E-mail Account, COM 896 or equivalent This course is designed as a second course to follow Java 2 Programming Introduction. Where the first course is in the form of an introductory how-to course on writing applets, this course explains things in a bit more depth, and is based entirely on applications, not applets. The Intermediate course begins by explaining the basic form of an application, and the difference between an applet and an application. Some Java GUI interface components are introduced early in the course so they can be used for input and output of the example programs throughout the rest of the course. Beginning with the third lesson, there are in-depth explanations of the structure and purpose of the Java syntax.
