EMS400 — DOH Emergency Responder

4.8 credits · 48 hours

This course involves up to 80 hours of emergency medical training aimed at people who may be the first on the scene of an accident or medical emergency. Students are taught the basics of emergency care and patient handling as well as any skills needed to assist ambulance and rescue personnel upon their arrival. After the student passes a National Registry test, they will receive a PA Department of Health certification valid for three years. Text and some gear included at some locations.
