EMS402 — Youth Assoc. Emer. Responder

This 54 hour course of emergency medical training is aimed at youth, ages 14 - 18 who complete the Emergency Medical Responder program to serve as a third person on a basic and/or advanced life support ambulance. These students are given first-hand experience in assisting a crew to administer pre-hospital emergency medical care. Following the OAAS Curriculum, upon successful ocmpletion of this course students will have the knowledge and skill needed to assist in treating a patient in an emergency setting at the Emergency Responder level. A certificate of completion is awarded at the end of the program. Due to state minimum age requirements this is not a state approved certification class. At age 16 a student may challenge the State Certification Test.This class is held at the Cetronia Ambulance Corps, 4300 Broadway, Allentown, PA.
