The Emergency Medical Technician is for individuals likely to respond to pre-hospital emergencies. Minimum age is 16. Please note location listed with each class offering. Participants are required to have a physician release form, show proof of health insurance and submit a PA Child Abuse and PA Criminal History clearance for final acceptance into this program. As part of this program, all students are required to attend a free EMT Information Session prior to registering. Additionally, internet and computer access for online testing is required. The National Registry Fee is separate.Text is additional at EMI, 2100 Mack Blvd., Allentown and is available a few weeks before the first class at both locations. Text is included in the tuition for the Tamaqua class of $1,350.00 and is available at the first class, held at the Morgan Campus, LCCC, 234 High St., Tamaqua. Text is also included in the tuition for the Pottsville class of $1,350.00 and is available at the first class; classes held at the Joseph F. McCloskey School of Nursing, 420 S. Jackson St., Pottsville.Additional gear and attire differ at the locations and are addressed at the Information Sessions.
