EMS614 — ICS/EOC Interface Course

0.8 credits · 8 hours

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to develop an effective interface between the Incident Command and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) by applying incident command system (ICS) principles. Local public officials and emergency managers need to understand the complexity of preparedness, response and recovery issues, and the impact of critical, life-saving response. The growth and acceptance of the Incident Command System (ICS) and the use of Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) allows a means to reduce this complexity through better understanding and increased coordination. This course should lay the groundwork for that better understanding.
