EMS730 — Point of Distribution Drill
Location: LCCC, Schnecksville Campus-Rothrock Library, Alumni Center 105, 107, & 108Participants will experience a Point of Distribution site in action! A simulated POD will be set up in response to a scenario (e.g. anthrax attack) with the same objective of an actual POD-to rapidly distribute medication or vaccine to a large group of people. After a brief orientation of PODs, students will be divided into two groups:1) POD workers2) Clients coming through the POD to receive their medicationsAfter the first run-through, the groups will switch roles, enabling all participants to learn as both workers and clients.(5 hour program, includes lunch)
