EMS819 — RC-Transportation Incidents
Planning and preparing to respond to a transportation incident in your community may seem a daunting task. The needs of the survivors, family members of victims, and the community may be different to other types of disasters; the response is complex with the challenges of a large rescue and recovery operation and the coordination between many agencies all in the spotlight of intensive media coverage. The American people look to the Red Cross to assist them in times of disaster. The purpose of this course is to prepare Red Cross employees and volunteers to provide a more effective initial response to a transportation incident.
