FIA433 — Trompe L'Oeil
Trompe L'oeil - French for "trick the eye" - is an art technique involving realistic imagery that creates an optical illusion of three dimensionality. The techniqueof "chiarascuro" (the lightness and darkness of an object) will be addressed. How to paint a range of commonly used backgrounds will be covered. Students will produce a small painting of illusion using a background of their choice.
