0 credits · 15 hours

Discover how to draw faces by cultivating your powers of observation. Starting out with drawing the five basic shapes and arranging them to make a face, students will find how easy it becomes to draw faces. Each feature and its placement, (eyes, nose, mouth and ears) will be handled in class so that students have a comprehensive understanding of the human face. In class we will cover lighting and the face in front view and three quarter view using a plaster cast. The last two classes students will draw from life, working from the model, students are given the opportunity to capture the individual character of the person portrayed. This is an excellent class for those who have a warm interest in all human beings. A materials list will be sent to you one week before class.
