FIR625 — DOH Basic Vehicle Rescue

This course is intended for personnel who need to have an awareness of vehicle rescue operations including the use of hand and power tools and equipment with disentanglement techniques. Topics also include: incident management, vehicle anatomy/design, hazard control, patient access, care and packaging, extrication and termination. Upon completion, student will be eligible to complete the PA Joint Rescue Program Basic Vehicle Rescue examination as well as to challenge the IFSAC/Pro-Board national certification as a Vehicle Rescue Technician Level 1 in accordance with NFPA 1006.
