JUS 3360 — Indigenous Peoples and Culture in Justice
An exploration of the diversity of Indigenous cultures before European contact, the effects of European colonization as well as Indigenous spirituality, traditional values and rules of behavior. Topics include the renaissance of Indigenous culture, the over representation of Indigenous peoples who come in contact with the justice system, and healing and intervention programs implemented in cooperation with Indigenous communities.
