JUS 3363 — Victims in Criminal Justice
A study of the impacts of crime on victims. The focus is on victims' needs, their experiences navigating the criminal justice system, and the role of first responders and others who provide support and services to victims of crime. There is also an exploration of the social reaction to victimization, the role of the media, the value of restorative justice practices, and how to better assist victims of crime in the future.
