MTH 1130 — Math Fundamentals

This course is designed for students to develop post-secondary-level math skills for non-mathematical programs. Students will extend their understanding of arithmetic and algebra and develop their ability to reason by collecting, analyzing, and evaluating data involving one variable and connecting probability and statistics. Students should have an understanding of the following concepts: basic techniques of algebra from operations on rational numbers through equations and inequalities; factoring and algebraic fractions; basic geometry and trigonometry including perimeter, area, volume; Pythagorean theorem; and basic trigonometric functions. Students registered in this course should have completed Science 10 or equivalent. Not available for supplemental. Not eligible for Prior Learning Assessment.
