PSY 1150 — Psychology as a Biological Science

Psychology is a diverse discipline that spans both biological and social science in the study of mind, brain, and behaviour. In this first half of a two-part introduction to psychology, you will explore the biological foundations, including the physiological and genetic contributions, underlying our psychology. This course will cover psychological topics such as sensation and perception, consciousness, learning, memory, thinking, decision-making, and intelligence. The theories of psychology and the research methods by which psychological knowledge is achieved will also be examined across the course. Not available for supplemental.
