This course provides an understanding of the role of beef cattle production in Western Canada and an overview of global beef production. Different production systems associated with beef management such as the breeding herd and feeder/finishing phases are studied with and emphasis on the cattle cycle, health and welfare, nutrition and feeding, genetics, economics, and environmental impact. Not available for supplemental.
