PSY1200 — Abnormal Psychology
In this course students will learn the basic concepts of abnormal psychology. The diagnostic criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) for the major categories of psychological disturbances will be presented. Facts about etiology, prognosis, and treatment modalities using the DSM-5 as a basis will be presented and discussed.
Prerequisites: PSY1100, PSY1250
