ARCH 217 — Applied Structural Design

Properties of wood, steel, and concrete under typical construction conditions are studied. Stresses are analyzed under common loading conditions and allowable stresses compared. Building codes and manufacturer’s data in tables and charts are analyzed and applied, using basic engineering formulas, to basic building designs.
