ARTG 215 — Pastel
; Attributes: FA, HU, LA This course introduces the student to the art of pastel. Students become familiar with various chalk pastels and color systems distinct to this medium. Students are taught a range of mark- making techniques: hatching, feathering, stippling, overlaying, and some innovative experimental methods. Individual and group critiques form an integral part of the course. Two lecture and two laboratory hours per week.
