ARTG 235 — Clay Work
; Attributes: FA, HU, LA This course teaches basic and advanced wheel-throwing skills for the beginning to advanced student. Hand-building techniques such as slab and coil construction and surface-decorating techniques such as scraffito, incising, paper resist, carving, and glaze formulation are investigated. Advanced students explore more complicated pieces involving altering and combining clay- forming methods. Two lecture and two laboratory hours per week.
