ENGL 218 — Dramatic Literature II
; Attributes: HU, LA This course begins with an overview of theatrical literature and an understanding of the play as a form. Following this, selected plays from late 17th and 18th century, 19th century, early and mid-20th century, and contemporary periods will be read and explicated. Since the course is based on time periods and major authors, Dramatic Literature II does not have to be taken after Dramatic Literature I.
