MLSL 102 — Beginning American Sign Language II

; Attributes: HU, LA, ML This course is a continuation of MLSL 101 Beginning American Sign Language I. Emphasis is on the continued development of communication skills and face and body expressions. Students continue to acquire grammar, syntax, and vocabulary, which enhances their ability to initiate and sustain conversations using American Sign Language. Cultural aspects of the Deaf community are explored. The Modern Languages Department recommends this course to students with one to two years of previous study of American Sign Language at the high school level or one semester at the college level. departmental approval.
