NURS 101 — Nursing I
This course is designed to provide the foundation for nursing practice. The focus is on the nursing process, patients, and their families as community members, and the adaptations in their patterns of daily living necessary during illness. Emphasis is placed on health and hygienic practices for the nurse and patient. Content includes interpersonal relations, observations, communications, nutrition, basic pharmacology, and therapeutic measures with an introduction to critical thinking, evidence-based practice, and patient teaching. This course has a lecture, lab, and clinical component. A minimum passing grade of C+ is required. Pre/
