SECU 205 — Private Security Law and Procedure
This course explores the legal issues related to the private security industry and ways to prevent loss from litigation. Torts, contracts, search and seizure, and the law of arrest will be discussed. The effects of domestic terrorism post-September 11, 2001 and the USA Patriot Act upon the role of private security will be explored. The advent of transnational corporations and the expanding role of private security as a result will be discussed. 101 Introduction to Private Security.
