This course covers the theory, operation, and service of the electronically controlled internal combustion engine including spark ignition, port/direct fuel injection, variable camshaft timing, evaporative emissions, EGR, and catalyst efficiency systems. The use and understanding of advanced diagnostic equipment including DVOMs, oscilloscopes, OBD interface equipment, pressure transducers, gas analyzers, and related special tools will be emphasized.
