AT207 — ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEMS I

This course is designed to increase the students’ understanding and diagnostic skills related to engine control systems. Major areas to be covered are the identification, operation, function, and basic diagnosis of the following: Electronic Control Module (ECM): fuel injection systems: engine control system sensors and actuators: ignition systems. Emphasis will be on establishing sound diagnostic practices using all available resources, i.e., manuals, DVOM, oscilloscope, diagnostic testers, and related special tools. Students may also earn University of Toyota/Lexus College credit. Lecture: 0.5 credit. Lab: 3.5 credits. Total course: 112.5 hours. 4 Credits Prerequisites: AT 113 , AT 208 , and AT 220
