BI110 — PRINCIPLES OF BIOLOGY I w/ LAB
Principles of Biology I is the first semester of a two-semester college course on the facts and principles of biology with emphasis on cellular processes. The course has a mandatory lab that complements the lecture. This course is designed to meet the needs of STEM major programs. Typical majors taking this course include biotechnology, life science, environmental science, computer science, and engineering. Topics include chemical make-up of the cell, structures and functions of biological macromolecules, organelle structure and function, metabolic pathways, genetics, protein synthesis, gene expression and regulation, and gene technology. 4 Credits Competency in MA 95 is recommended.
