BU250 — SERVICE INDUSTRY INTERNSHIP

This is an independent study course students usually take during the fourth semester of the General Business Management Program. Participants are given an opportunity to practice principles presented in the classroom through a minimum of 120 internship hours in a service business setting. Hospitality internship placements may include hotels, convention and visitors’ bureaus, and travel and tourism related agencies. Retail internship placements may include department stores, specialty retailing companies, supermarkets, merchandising and distribution establishments, and chambers of commerce. Internship contract, written reports, and internship seminars are required. 4 grade average.
