EM105 — EMT CLINICAL AND FIELD PRACTICE
This course provides students with clinical education experiences through simulation and clinical/field rotations to enhance knowledge and skills acquired in EM 101 and prepare for the National Registry of EMTs exam and professional practice as EMTs. Students will develop portfolios documenting all patient care activities, preceptor evaluations, and self-reflections. Students will participate in and document comprehensive patient care for no less than 20 patients through simulation and clinical/field experience. Please note that students must be compliant with ail health and vaccination requirements in order to be placed in a clinical/field rotation. Students must successfully complete both EM 101 and EM 105 in the same semester to be eligible to take the NREMT EMT certification examination. Lab: 40 hours. Clinical/Field: 20 hours. 2 Credits
