HS210 — AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY
This course explores the African American struggle for equality throughout American history, from the colonial era to the civil rights movement and contemporary America. Topics covered will include the origins of slavery; the Civil War, Reconstruction, and the emergence of segregation; urbanization and industrialization; the cultural and intellectual achievements of African Americans; the Long Civil Rights movement; and contemporary African American political and economic life. 3 Credits
