IN103 — HISTORY OF HOME FURNISHINGS
This course outlines the evolution of period furniture, architecture, interiors, and materials from the Gothic to the present. A detailed analysis of furniture styles and construction will be presented in a historical context. In order for the student to develop an appreciation for furnishings and decoration, trips to museums, furniture showrooms, and historic homes will be planned. Lecture: 3 hours per week. 3 Credits
