MC102 — MEDICAL CODING I: ICD & CPT

This course will train learners to properly locate, document, and validate appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes using the current International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and Healthcare Common Procedural Coding System (HCPCS) coding for professional medical services. Specialty billing for cardiology, anesthesia and pain management, orthopedic surgery, and more. Learners will also gain knowledge of medical legal and ethical responsibilities, anatomy, and medical terminology. Lecture: 60 hours per week. 4 Credits
