ART 251 - Concept & Building an Artist Practice ART 251 - Concept & Building an Artist Practice 3 Course Description: This course provides you the platform to explore personalized concept work through the lens of experimentation, iteration, theme based working, and unconventional processes. Students will strengthen both observational drawing and critique skills, cultivate a personal point of view, as well as prepare a digital portfolio using professional standards. Additionally, students will develop an artist’s statement to accompany their work, as well as prepare work for exhibition. ART 152 will be in the fall semesters, ART 153 in the spring semesters. It will be as a dual enrollment course in the evenings, so local high school students can also enroll in the course. Course Student Learning
