BIO 140 - Botany BIO 140 - Botany 4 Course Description: An introductory survey of the plant kingdom with special emphasis on the morphology, physiology, and embryology of the higher vascular plants, namely angiosperms and gymnosperms. The economic and medicinal importance of plants to humans may also be examined. Laboratory exercises illustrate topics discussed in lecture. 3 hours lecture/2 hours laboratory ISLOs: This course supports student development of Written and Oral Communications, Critical Thinking, and Quantitative Literacy.
