CAD180 — Solid Modeling II
CAD 180 - Solid Modeling II CAD 180 - Solid Modeling II 3 Course Description: This course is designed to introduce complex solid geometry using sweeps, curves, planes and several other available options. Bottom Up and Top Down Assembly features will be used for applicable design projects. Hardware assembly for fasteners will be introduced. Sheet Metal Layout, Mold Designs and Finite Element Analysis are some areas to be introduced. Assembly animations and simulations will be used to enhance project evaluations and function. Students will be tasked with projects to imitate a real-world work environment and develop critical thinking skills. Students will create working prototypes of their projects. (2 hours lecture/2 hours lab)
