CRJ 125 - Introduction to Private Security CRJ 125 - Introduction to Private Security 3 Course Description: This course provides an overview of private security in the U.S. with a focus on historical and philosophical perspectives of security. The principles, methods and techniques used by the industry will be examined. Specific attention will be spent on describing the relationship between private security professionals, law enforcement and representatives of the legal system. Additional topics such as workplace violence, organized retail theft, internal security, civil liability, loss prevention and security surveys will be addressed. Ethics in private security will be emphasized throughout the course.
