DHY 150 - Concepts in Dental Hygiene II DHY 150 - Concepts in Dental Hygiene II 3 Course Description: This course aids in understanding the concepts involved in providing dental hygiene care to special patient populations. The primary focus of the course is on the recognition of medically compromised patients that may require specialized care with an emphasis on preventing and managing emergencies in the dental setting in such patients. The process of dietary analysis and nutritional counseling with regard to special patient populations is also addressed.
